Summer Session 2019
Summer session is a 10 week format between June 17th and August 21st, 2019 where parents can pick and choose weekly themed camps for their children. Bethesda Child Development Center’s summer session is geared towards children ages 2 years old through 8 years old. Parents can pick one week or all 10! We offer full time programming from 7:30 am – 5:30 pm for 3 – 8 year old children and half day programming for children 2 – 8 years old. Activities are varied and the children kept engaged with many visitors that come to the center with planned events.
Trips are planned weekly that include local walking trips to various venues nearby as well as a few bus trips to fun activities. Walking and bus trips are for campers aged 4 years old and above. The links below have our summer registration form that lists the weekly themes. Currently the off campus trips and in house activities are being planned. Lead teachers for each age group will have trip/activity information and incorporate it into their weekly activity calendars that will be available for parents on a weekly basis. Children will be encouraged to engage in games, art activities, social activities, gross motor, exploration, science, outdoor activities, science and nature, dramatic play, food activities and more!
Summer session does continue the practice of children to not have/bring any electronics to the program. No I-pads, phones, electronic games, watches, etc. We want the children to explore their world and see what is available to them! The children will follow a daily schedule set by their program lead teacher, but there is always room to explore and engage the children further in themes they enjoy.
The weekly themes and pricing are listed on the Summer sign up sheet. Please contact the main office if you have any questions.
